    The alnico sounded the best imo. Where alnico speakers really shine though is when they're being pushed, that's where you get that musical bloom and compression as opposed to the on/off switch sound of a ceramic.

        No need to give much (if any) credit to Bose for this. It's a pretty basic acoustic labyrinth design. Been around for many decades. Bose didn't invent it, and the Bose design isn't even particularly cutting edge, as far as I know.

        As far as using this design for a combo amp, I don't think it'd be a very good idea. Acoustic labyrinths are large and heavy, and their advantage is to extend the low bass. Guitar amps don't need that, guitars having no low bass, and a labyrinth large enough to be useful for bass guitar would be very large and heavy, which is completely the wrong idea for a combo amp.
