                They can be, but you have to keep your eye open for the production deals.



                Back in the day, you could easily knock 30-40% off the msrp.

                  I'm curious to see what the new CEO does with pricing and QC. What models he'll continue and which ones to discontinue. Plus amps. I think Gibson should get back into amplifiers.

                    I said that years ago.

                    What the new CEO is doing is getting back to basics. Nice guitar builds. They took the 999 Les Pauls out of the catalog and have a reasonable amount of LP's to choose from.

                    I don't see any mandolins in the Gibson line up anymore. I hope Dave and the mandolin crew are still there, it would be a shame to lose these guys.

                    What I don't see in the line up right now is the bigger jazz box guitars. I think they are coming down the road.
