I absolutely love dogs. But ours are gone now and I'm not getting another. Too much responsibility.

Agreed. There's nothing like the love of a dog. Wonderful companions. Very soon after my Wheaton Terrier died due to cancer we got two cats. The house just seemed empty w/o him. So, two cats it is. They're not the same. Still, they bring life to the house and I am fond of them. Unless they won't stop shredding the damn furniture!

I hope you don't have audiophile-quality tower speakers too. I've had too much cat experience.

I do. B&W's. They seem to ignore those for some reason. Lucky. If they didn't there'd be 'cat' on the menu at the local Vietnamese joint.

The young lady I dated briefly before I started dating the future Mrs. DeepEnd had a pair of nice Advent speakers and the grilles had been shredded by her cat. I would have kept one or the other but not both.

We had our puppy training get together a noon.
                Lots of new smells.

I thought the woman that ran the meet and greet was awesome. My wife didn't think to much of her.

My doggie was the oldest in the class. They has a cute pups, There was a litter of big hounds there, a husky, and Belgian Shepard. Luka was a bit unruly , imho. he settled down about 30 minutes into the session.

One thing Luka does well is sit and lays down on a blanket. We practiced that at home, a lot.

The woman was like some puppies pee or poop in the class training, they get excited, muscles are growing, not big deal or need to feel embarrassed.

Guess what? My dog was the only class act to evacuate his bowels during class time. I just took him out to pee 3 minutes before.

He does ride well in the car, no pooping, peeing or puking. Thank gawd.

                He's tired tonight.

Cian kitty is doing well with him, but Kallie kitty, not so good.

Hopefully the joy of owning a dog will get better soon.

                I love my kitties.

We have 3 more meet and greet training sessions. It didn't hurt to have him mingle with other creatures of his own kind. We will see if he needs to go further with the professional trainer. She helped me understand dogs better.

He buddied up with a pup that looked like a Saint Bernard. That guy was cute and fluffy.

A little update. More intestinal issues. We went back to the vates today.
He's off Hills Science Large Dog Puppy food and they put him on Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN Gastroenteric Formula Dry Dog Food, plus an antibiotic pill.

He likes it. and it will be easier on his stomach, better doggie poops.

The Berkshire Humane Society classed yesterday and my wife talked to them today. She wasn't happy with them.

The food I grabbed from the vets satellite office. 27 bucks for a 6-pound bag.

The Chewy price is the same, and they carry the 18-pound bag, but not the 32-pound bag.
I'd rather do business locally if I can.

All doggie bedding is cleaned again. My poor wife.

I had a Tori Point Siamese cat we got from the Second Chance Animal Shelter in VT, back in the late '90s. Tia Kitty had intestinal issues and went to a special kitty hospital. They couldn't find out what was wrong with her, except there might have been milk/ cheese products in the food we were given here. Spent like 1000's on her.

Tia Passed only a few years ago, at the age of 17 plus.

Another sweet little kitty I miss.

Hopefully, we are on the right track with Luka.

The vet also said she has seen more issues like this with Hills Science Dog Food.

Dr Mattson really likes Luka. She also knows we really love the guy too.

                    Cha ching.

funny you mentioned Hills...my next door neighbor is a semi-retired veterinarian, and she mentioned to me there was some kind of issue with their canned food the other day.

They have had recalls over the years. I heard about the recalls and immediately called our vet.

The newest recall you are speaking about is for "Elevated levels of Vitamin D.

Crazy, you think you're giving your doggies and kitties the best.

My Cats get Rachel Ray, as the piece of dry food are smaller, we also had a hard time finding something Kallie would eat in the line of wet food. Oh, she's a fussy one. Cian will eat anything and it shows. He found a piece of the dog's food the other day.

I thought dry cat food was better for the kitties teeth, our vets said not really and it can be a weight packer on-er. Turns out Kitties don't chew there food that much.

I'm good a giving cats pills and learned the best way to give Luka a pill. It's slightly different than a cat.

Sorry to hear about your continued doggie digestive issues. I hope poor Luka gets straightened out eventually. Not sure about the antibiotic though, they can kill good intestinal bacteria along with the bad. Antibiotics, specifically amoxicillin, used to give our daughter diarrhea. Maybe a doggie dose of Immodium instead?

I hear what you are saying.
I was concerned about that too. He's on a probiotic too.

You just want to kill any bad, and keep the good.

What the vet and we are trying to do, is get his digestive issues to normal in a month. I really need to trust my vet(s).

They have some pretty fancy degrees for top-notch Universities like Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University and Cornell.

Me, I'm kind of a newbie doggie daddy, but I'm doing well with it.

The vets said he's not sick, he just has some food issues right now.

Hopefully, we will be back again on the right track, so we can hit out second puppy training class on Saturday. I wouldn't want him to miss that cause I am learning a lot.

                                I believe it.

The vet says the Lyme Vaccine should be fine now. We might as well finish up the second round.

Our doggie is on a different diet and seems to be doing better since yesterday's visit to the vets.

He loves it and he will get this for a month. We will also use this food for training treats. No more spicy training treats. He doesn't seem to care.

I've become an expert on dog poop.

Let me tell you, I'm really tired. I'll get some rest throughout the day.

He's doing better at the sitting, saying, laying down and heeling up. However, he gets a jag in his puppy brain and can get unruly. It's puppy play.

Cian just walks around the house with caution, He clocked Luka a few times. Luka can be a bull in a china closet at times.

I think Kallie kitty is in a better place now with him. Kallie is about 2 weeks behind Cian.

So hopefully this will all come together in the end.
