I put canned from Costco in an extra big filter and soak it for 12 hrs or so. Been doing this for a while.

Can you drink it hot? I love coffee. So strong you could use it as 30 weight oil in your crankcase. Right now I am way overstocked on coffee with 3.5 lbs of Starbucks (2.5 pounds French Roast, and 1 lb. Italiano Roast). Plus I have one pound of expensive Kona, and another 4 pounds of San Francisco Bay Dark Roast( French and Expresso).I'm set on coffee well into next year.
If I don't have a cuppa Joe to start the day, then the day is a complete waste.

Yeah I grind beans for our French Press every morning, but cold brew is yummier, better flavors.

I went budget. Regular sized nylon coffee basket, Urn sized paper filter, Inordinate amount of canned, steeped in a cheap Walworld pitcher. Tastes better than drip for sure.

All room temp too. No eco unfriendly refrigging.

I was going budget, but the whole thing was less than $20.

Oops I also spent $15 on a burr grinder, my powered grinder makes it too fine, allegedly

If you get the grind right you can use cold brew bags. With fine grind or canned there's just too much silt; hence paper filters. The beans cost too much for me anyway and the coarser the grind the more you need and / or the longer you brew. 24 hrs + fridge time. Course you can brew it as strong as you like. Just dilute it more. My 12 hr Private Reserve will go 3 to 1 water to brew and still kick. 3lb can lasts around a month.

No. I had it once and I thought it was too sweet. Don't like sweet coffee. I buy my Starbucks French Roast now from Costco because Starbucks curiously stopped selling it. Baratza grinder and Oxo drip coffee maker, a shot of cream and I'm in heaven.
