By skinny jeans I didn't mean girl pants. I don't wear those. These are the pants I wear when I'm in good physical condition. After a three day weekend of good food and beer and I need my 40's.

You can still get American made jeans, you just ain't gonna like the price.

Production was moved off US soil, not only to save money, buy the production of jeans has become an environmental disaster. No longer does it take months or years to break in a pair of jeans. Companies went for stone washing them to using chemicals to get that worn or broken in look.

That's why I buy my jeans from Goodwill. My last pair was Anchor Blue brand, which used to be a division of Perry Ellis. Probably cost $200 new. I paid less than $10.

Inasmuch as Anchor Blue jeans haven't been made in several years and I hadn't even heard of them until I bought this pair, I don't know that you can extrapolate from current prices for a completely different brand. The page you linked shows suggested prices up to $150 a pair and I've seen other brands like True Religion selling in the $140 range. And that was several years ago. (And no, I didn't buy them, I was window shopping at the mall.) $200 may not be much of an exaggeration or they may have cost $20 on clearance. I don't particularly care. I had a pair of jeans that had a big hole in the seat and now I have a pair that doesn't so all is good.

They let it slide because it made them look bad since they let me in in the first place.

                        UPDATE

Just got home from taking Cinny to a medical appointment. Stopped at Family Farm & Home store to get bird feeder peanuts. They sell Carhartts, had two pair of blue denim bibs that fit me for $52/pr. so I bought 'em. Can't do much better than that online.

I've tried other brands and they've sucked. Mostly the fasteners that hold the straps to the yolk have been sh!tty and failed.

Carhartts are hard to attach but once hooked up don't fail.
