          I think synths were still monophonic at that point, but MIDI was a thing...So you could trigger several synths with the one note you were allowed.
          So processing was likewise limited. Digital 'Verbs and such were on the way but pricey as Hell.
          It was their one hit...The guy with the screwy haircut is still gettin' his dinner singing that damn song.
          And now I've allowed myself to be drug back into this stupid thread.

            I like I Ran So Far Away too. Back in the 80's it looked all "New Wave- futuristic." Now, it just looks like a bunch of Reynolds Wrap.
            It's not about money or popularity , although some money would be nice.
