I still don't understand - after so much hand-wringing over Hillary's supposed transgressions - why Trump supporters are so enamored with his lawlessness.

    Vicarious thrill?

    Revenge against libs?

Raw desire for power at any cost?

Fear of being proven wrong about Trump?

    It's strange...

    Throw-away lines often ring true.

Ed Phoebes man...if this band I know called Rexella took acid (well more than they already have) then ate radioactive squirrel steaks for dinner then mated with (ugh) that white stripes girl and then killed her and ate her heart...that's Ed Phoebes to me. – Pepper Rhodes

Not so much that they are enamored of him and his antics; rather they are tolerant of him and his appalling behavior.
It's very likely a case of...

Posts are supposed to include some sort of personal comment, yes?

"The whole issue reminds me of this article I read earlier today:"

Is a piss-poor comment. Just sayin...

Also, you're living in the past. Have you read "the art of the comeback"?

Or is your motto, "Never try, never fail"?

I've rubbed shoulders with more than one highly successful person. Every single one of them had some pretty significant failures in their past. What they learned from those failures is what made them so successful today. So many sit in judgement of Trump 30 years ago without a clue what was really going on and what really came of it. They just know that they hate Trump and that is just another reason.

You can find plenty of reasons to hate every single person that crosses your path - and as many reasons to love them. But you get to choose.
I'm not sure what you mean by living in the past since the news about Trump's staggering losses was just released a month or so ago.

And your suggestion about hating people this is simply another diversion from Trump's business ineptitude.

add to his poor decision-making abilities his willingness to cheat people who work for him.

for example his new hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Documents obtained by NPR show three Washington-area companies have filed liens against Trump International Hotel totaling more than $5 million.

Further details about the financial grifting at the link.

Tolerance is too soft a word. They celebrate his appalling behavior. "You're all jelly because he gets to boff porn stars and Playboy bunnies" comes to mind.

Close, but still way off the mark.

His fans like his speech-style, but not because it's "business-like". If that were the case, they'd vote for Michael Bloomberg or Steve Forbes. No, they like it because they like that Rich Archie Bunker Queens accent and speech patterns that he as that make him sound like one of the guys in the bar.

I always thought this video was quite telling (in addition to being funny). You can see here how much it's not about what Trump SAYS, but HOW he says it. Because THIS guy would never be a hit with the Trumpsters.

Trump will be forced out of office, but will end up in Prison, there won't be a Republican President to pardon him and by then the Dems will control both the Senate and Congress.

While I imagine it’s not against forum rules, I find his tendency to post as a support for his opinions what amount to nothing more than opinion blogged on some other site from people who have no authority on a topic to be, if nothing else, a waste of time for the people who click on the links.

When someone says “this reminds of this article” and offers no explanation of what the article is, am I wrong to expect something more than just some random person’s opinion with no facts or data or anything? Just some guy saying “why I think Dems will lose” that could just as easily been one of any of the hundreds of similar posts by our own members?

so yes. I asked him before to not do this. Because I think it’s not only a waste of all of our time, but disrespectful to those of us who go to the trouble to formulate our own opinions and find support for them.

I’m sorry that I resorted to a snide response, but I think it was appropriate.
