The link in post #14 shows that the DEA confirms what those who testified at El Chapo's trial said. That few drugs are brought in through remote areas of our southern border with Mexico.

The reason drug smugglers dont send individual carriers across the border in small batches in remote areas - is simple. Logistics.

If they stick to larger but fewer batches at the port, the drugs are easier to keep track of. They dont have to drive all over the southwest tracking down hundreds of people scattered all over, each with a small bag of drugs. That is not cost effective.
