  • OT - How'd your hunting season go.

I know we have at least one other hunter here maybe more so how did you do?

I took a nice 8 point whitetail the 2nd day of our season. Sat all day the first day and only saw a blue jay and some other little birds.

2nd day just at legal shooting hour hit I saw a deer come out about 200 yards or so walking straight towards me. Had a hell of a time figuring if he was legal or not (here a buck has to have 3 points on one side to be legal) as he got closer I saw his spread was past his ears and knew he had to be, I took the shot. Actually 2 I missed the 1st, 2nd dropped him in his tracks.

All day Monday nothing not 45 minutes in the blind 2nd day and season over. I have a doe tag but no need to fill it as with last years moose and doe and him my freezers full.

My brother. his stepson and a good friend also took 8 pointers.

So far so good. I've bagged a chuck roast, 6 lbs of chicken breast and 3 lbs of 80/20.

All at one time with one swipe of a credit card.

Who knows what I'll bag tomorrow?

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

I was gonna ask if you saw any of the "whitetail cullers" in A2 lately.

Have not. They’re in the parks and the parks are closed/off limits when culling is going on.

There's a whole school full of 'em there, ya know.

They're cute, strolling around in their habits and wimples and stuff

It's good to have NOS and Dano back. I haven't been hunting since I was a teenager. I have done some fishing, but even that is quite a while ago. One of my good friends is really avid, and the last time I visited him, he had two mule deer hanging in his shed. Looking forward to some jerky.

Thanks, I find it mentally healthy to take breaks from HCPP occasionally.

Had a great season but didn't bring anything home (yet). I saw a lot of deer, which I still count as victory. Got to watch 2 bucks spar for about 45 mins in the early season. I hunt archery, on public land, from the ground, so my percentage isn't that high. Tagged out last year, though.
