Members StratGuy22
Stoked for NYE. It's at our community centre where we play a lot of weddings etc. The manager let us in early, on the 27th so we are all set up & ready to go. I think they have closer to 250 tickets sold which is pretty good.
Members StratGuy22
Some of the day. Setup, some assembly required: halfway there. It's a wide hall so we use sidefills. mission control: CS18AI 8ch drop snake at the back for the drums, bass & guitar: 6ch drop snake at the front for 4 vocals, Acoustic DI & keys DI My area: FCB1010 to control the lights/hazer and my guitar rig. All ready to go: it was a good time! 260 people there, we played 3 long sets: 9pm - 10pm 10:20pm - midnight 12:20 - 2am I had caught a could and was getting worse by the minute. I. Was able to sing during the first 2 sets but was dint about halfway through the third set. Supper was awesome, prime rib & chicken. We had dancers from the first song. For the first song we called up a couple whose wedding we played for At NYE 4 years ago. So we got them to the dancefloor and asked them what we should start with. They says a slow one, so we played Home by Daughtry. After that we were off to the races. Great crowd and the dancefloor was pretty full all night. Played some dance music in between and even that had quite a few people up as well. I had accidently taken 2 Tylonol Cold & Flu nite time at 7pm so I couldn't drink until 11pm lol. We mentionedthe passing of Lemmy and all took a good chug of JD from the bottle & then played Sympathy for the Devil, a song Motorhead has covered. We were given 30 drink tickets so we gave away 10 to the first 10 people up hit the shooter bar to get things going over there. Good time, great party, lots of good compliments. They want to book us for next year as well. So that's good to hear!
