Members Satriani
As stated by Rocktron tech Jim Chowning: All use motorola processors. - intellifex (original blackface) = most well-respected, oldest, Why, maybe because the paid the most for them when chip/memory prices were higher? Contained surface mount DSP chip in thru hole socket. By the way this socket is no longer made nor available.- Intellifex LTD (white face) = apparently better chipset, USA made, same chip set, does no longer use socket for DSP chip. DSP chip is mounted direct to board via surface mounting. We installed our first surface mount line. - Intellifex XL (Green face)= Same super powerful chipset as IntelliVERB with parametric EQ, RARE Used 33Mhz DSP chip in socket, converters no longer available and socket no longer available. - Intellifex online (grey or maroon face) = made in Korea, same chipset as LTD, but lower build quality. Made in USA until 2000, made in Korea, until 2003 made in China. 40Mhz processor running at 20Mhz. 20Mhz processor no longer made.
