Members H2Shredder Posted April 28, 2006 Members Share Posted April 28, 2006 John, In the ADA I run the OD 1&2 at 7 on the level.I run the Bass and Mids @7 Treble on 5.The tubes I'm using in the ADA are SINO(Chinese-halo grids) NOS 12ax7s tha I get from CE distributiion in Arizona.I run it thru My VHT 2150 with the depth settings on 2:00 the Presence at 12:00 and Volumes usually at like 10:00The Master on the ADA varies from time to time.Its a very organic and earthy growl that just rips-especially thru Duncan JBs or EMG Loaded guitars(which is pretty much what I use).The Bogner 101-b i run the same preamp tubes in and i use Svetlanas in the power section.Hope that helps you out & thanx for asking.regards,Vince. I'd buy 3 dozen at once to re-tube the Bogner 101-B,ADA MP-1 and in My CAE/Bradshaw 3+ and Bogner Fish preamps.Fill me in if you can and I'll try em.I cant have enough spare ax7s around. Right now it's the weak link. I run all my preamps at once and mix them and then run the Bogner on a separate path through a different cab. It's pretty cool. I'm looking for a Voodoo Lab preamp next. If you'd like, do the Mod4 mark II mod along with that. it makes the MP-1 even more hotrodded marshally sounding. Tighter tone, better gain and overall improved tone. I tried one and I like it. Hey John,My friend MarshallJMP said he'll send me some caps to do the noise Mod on 1 unit. Alot of people tried to email him in regarding the 3TM mod and some said he replied to them and some said he didnt. Maybe you can take your chance and e-mail him and see.
