Members leelee
What's the difference between the low/high impedance volume/expression pedals that boss sells? I'm planning on using it as a expression pedal, would it make any difference which one I buy?
Members Spacehog26
As an expression pedal it probably wouldn't make a lot of odds. I use the Boss FV500H high-impedance pedal with my All Access - I went for that rather than the low-impedance one purely because it was
Members leelee
Yeah it's 10$ cheaper on most online stores too over the FV500L. How are you liking it? Does it feel solid and smooth?
Members Spacehog26
Yeah, really solid. A couple of things I found were that (with the All Access at least) I had to use the in / out jacks with a split cable, rather than the expression out with a stereo cable, to get it to track all the way (the All Access doesn't have a pedal calibrate function - the expression out works fine with my synthesizer), and that most of the travel seems to be towards the top end (toe down). Once you get used to it, though, it's fine. I'm mostly using it to bring in specific effects depending on the patch, or to control the whammy function on the GSP1101 - I have a volume pedal (Little Alligator) and a wah pedal on my pedalboard anyway so I don't use it for that. Members starsnuffer
I really like the feel of the FV500, BUT, they do not work correctly with some applications. For instance, the Axxess FX1. The FV300, on the otherhand, works perfectly. Something to do with the taper. -W

Man it would suck if it doesn't work...
