Members separanets
Hi, The distorted channel in the Rectro Pre has 3 modes. Raw, Vintage and Modern. The Raw and Vintage are fat and loud, and though the modern has more gain but it is quiter, thiner with a lot of redundant hights and little low end. I wonder if it should be so or it is a defect. Thanks.
Members MLattack
Modern should have a pretty decent jump in volume but LOUDER. With a lot more treble and bass.

Members separanets
Here's a chart. As you can see, the "modern" signal has a bit less amplitude. http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/8805/signalzm4.jpg
Members Agent Cooper
Yeah, it isn't quieter so much as more scooped so i think that is why it sounds less 'full'.It is the same with mine.
Members separanets
Ok thank you all, my worries are gone now. I wish I had a schematic, at least a signal flow diagramm.
Members separanets
No, I measure the output voltage via the True RTA software. The Raw and Vint modes read 330mV while the Modern -- 260mV. That's odd.
