I have a VHT 2502 in my rack setup and its much the end of all poweramps that I've played through in the past (peavey, marshall, carvin, mesa). Members srommes Posted June 17, 2009 Members Share Posted June 17, 2009 I have the E570-850/100 combo. I just sold my VHT 2/90/2 after I purchased the 850/100. The 2/90/2 is a great poweramp and sounded really good with the E570 but the 850/100 takes that preamp over the top. It really gives it punch and definition and the additional volume/presence/depth controls are essential for balance between channels. I compared my combo to the SE head and it sounded almost exact. I really like the sound of the SE head, so I'll probably go with srommes recommendation, since he's tried both. Both seem great though.
