stupid midi cable placement question

i have the following

ground control pro, gcx switcher.. 4 midi rack units/rackmounted pedals all goin into the switcher.. then a floorboard with 4 midi capable pedals

i'd like at least two of these pedals to be midi controlled, but all the pedals only have midi in..

my midi chain goes from gcpro to switcher, in/thru/out of the rack gear, then ..... into midi in on a whammy iv... how do i then connect the remaining midi capable pedals? i need some kind of splitter plug i guess?

You need a midi splitter or midi thru box.

The Phil Rees stuff is discontinued now apparently but the webpage below has some useful info about the concepts:

http://www.philrees.co.uk/products/thruunit.htm

Midi solutions aren't cheap but appear to have some similar bits of kit:

Good luck with finding a solution. :thu:

MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru.

This box splits an incoming MIDI signal into four MIDI Thru outputs and adds data corruption prevention. The LED is MIDI-powered (no battery or power supply required).
