Lets talk FX for bass...

So the bass player in my band has a mesa m-pulse 360 and just picked up the footswitch that can control the fx loop which is parrallel (10%-100% wet)

Thinking about a rack multifx to handle time-based fx, modulations and the like, maybe some filter stuff too. Any recommendations? As it is a parrallel loop, it must be able to do 100% wet and overall patch volume would be nice as well. Setup with a simple midi footswitch and you're good to go.

Thoughts?

since you mention the fx loop can go to 100% it can function as a serial loop as well, so that could help expand you options

have you considered something like the rocktron blue thunder - one advantage there is you can hi-pass to the FX (so that only the upper frequencies get effected) -- this can leave the "bottom punch" intact

is he playing bass guitar, EUB, or an acoustic upright with a pickup?

Plain old bass.

That's actually pretty cool with the hi pass thing. I don't have a lot of experience with this amp, I recall that one manufacturer's '100% wet was every one else's 50% wet. I hope it's not mesa (I think that may be marshall?)
