Members purplemoss Posted June 12, 2011 Members Share Posted June 12, 2011 I am kind of unsure which tubes. I am thinking either Svetlana winged C El34's. I have read some really good reviews about the Tung-Sol EL34B's though. I generally play in the 5 to 6 volume range and record at around 8. I read that these really do well at the lower clean volumes. The Tung-Sol's are a bit cheaper but that doesn't mean there not better either. Any advice? We play a lot of GnR, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen Whitesnake etc. My main axe is a Jem7VWH and an Ibanez with paf-joe's in them. Definately like sustain and harmonics. Not how much that comes into play since I am not naturally overdriving the tubes. Starting to think that I should start thinking about doing that?
