Members schlepie
Hey there, we do not have a front truss and we normally front light from the left and right sides on tripods in front of stage. Not always the safest place to put a lighting tripod so I could use input on side lighting alternative for front line vocals. Right now we use par 64 leds on the 2 front vocals. How can we keep tripod or whatever lighting stand on front stage left and right?ThanksSchlep
Members Miko Man
One option (if your FOH speaker have unused flypoints) is to mount light fixtures either directly to the flypoints, or to pipes or sidearms attached to the points. Whether or not that gives you reasonable lighting angles will vary with your stage setup; YMMV. If your FOH speakers are on tripods, you may need sandbags or counterweights to keep everything stable.
