Members hornplayer
Can anyone recommend a good gobo projector? The only one I've looked at in depth so far is the Chauvet LFS 75. Seems bright enough. It needs to cut through Blizzard Q12 pucks. That's why I was looking at the Chauvet 75 watt LED.Also any other uses for them other than gobo projection? Can they be used for spot light type applications?I'm not very familiar with these units. Thanks
Members BillESC
While the fixture is bright enough to cut through your wash, the LFS has a downfall. The image area of the gobo is only 18mm which is very small compared to the theatrical industry standard gobo of 64mm.This will severly limit the amount of information (artwork) that can be used. With a MAP of $ 499.99 you might want to consider spending a bit more and getting a BenQ MX662 DLP video projector. Offering 3500 lumens, 13,000/1 contrast ratio and an USB reader you can project full color, animation, etc.

Members jenkem_productions
Hey Bill, can you elucidate more about the small gobo viewing area in how it limits the amount of artwork used? I ordered gobos from Apollo last week for a Chauvet Intimidator 350 which has a 20 mm viewable gobo and those douche nozzles neglected to tell me anything like what you're saying.
