Members midinut Posted June 30, 2015 Members Share Posted June 30, 2015 I've got one Chauvet 4BAR unit and am looking to expand. I've got a duo act I want to illuminate, but want more control over the lights than what the included foot switch is giving me. I'm looking into DMX controllers and the Obey 40 looks to give me more control than I now have. I would like to (at some point) dig into having MIDI trigger different scenes (or program a sequencer to send MIDI data to the DMX controller) but would be happy just being able to have more control for now. I'm considering adding another 4BAR unit to expand things at some point and possibly two of the 4PLAY units. Any suggestions appreciated. I caught a few comments about the Obey 40 and am wondering if I might be better off using their software ShowXpress and an Xpress 512 (or Plus) or even the Stage Designer 50 instead.
