Members Jonnylbluejeans
This may or may not be the right forum for this, but I thought I would ask. I am helping with a dramatic production with half the scenes being at night. We currently have 8 par 64 cans 2 wide, 2 narrow, and 4 medium using DMX software I wrote. It works well for basic lighting, but I have no idea how to compose a night scene. If we need more (or different) equipment, we will get what we need if we can. Any tips on lighting the stage (colored gels, LED wash, accent lighting, etc)? Any tips or suggestions are welcome. (If this is not the forum for this type of question, can you point me to one?) Thanks in advance
Members RoadRanger
Congo Blue - or I guess with LEDs just blue? Red for accents. No green, no yellow/amber. https://www.google.com/search?q=congo+blue&es_sm=122&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=SSFmVdniJ5PhsAS88YHwBQ&ved=0CDEQsAQ&biw=1074&bih=
Members BillESC
Congo Blue is much too saturated for a night effect. What you want is a blue color media that also includes reds. This will set the stage blue but the reds will give the faces some flesh tone. Apollo's Alexander The Grape is an example.
