Members hcintroy
The band I'm in (www.holleycarbines.com) is thinking of building our own portable drum shield. 1) Is this a good idea? 2) Where can we find the materials (plexiglass, layout, etc.)? 3) What can we figure on the cost of such a venture? Thanks for the information. hcintroy
Members theelmsrock
Sure thing!Save mucho money and build it yourself. I don't remeber details or prices, but a band that I was in did that such thing. We got all the supplies from Home Depot, and built it in about 2 hours. The end result was fantastic, it was solid as anyone could want, and looked very sharp. The cost was a mere fraction of buying one, and if it ever broke for any reason, we could fix it because we built it.
Members dirtyragamuffin
I'm curious about this too! be nice to have one around the ol' project studio for drums and cabs. Can you use any old plexiglass or is there a particular type of material that's best?
