Members Earthquake Posted July 31, 2003 Members Share Posted July 31, 2003 I have Yamaha mixer EMX5000-20 and need help. I want use internal amp for stage monitors, but I want use external equalizer. I am thinking to put aux out to eq, and then back to power amp imput. Now I don`t know what fader will adjust power. Aux or main st.out? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members KPAudio Posted August 3, 2003 Members Share Posted August 3, 2003 You should control the volume with the AUX send masters (or the volume on the outboard EQ). Think of the "Power amp In" as an amp with no voulme buttons. It just amplifies whatever comes into it. I just bought a EMX 5000-12 myself last Thursday. It's a great little mixer. As long as you don't need it to produce very low frequency instruments (bass drum and e-bass) it will go a very long way. The feature where you can step down in power is pretty neat.
