Members rxnet
Looking to rent a yorkville AP2020 for a show this weekend. The manual says it has neutrik connectors for speaker outputs (4 conductor)....Can I get away with using 2 conductor speakon cables if I am just running it in dual mono mode?? thanks!! Members milesdf
neutrik connectors? which ones? powercon? Yeah just kidding:The amp has one speakon connector for each output. When you use both channels without any sort of bridging the signal for channel A is output onto speakon jack A 1+ and 1-. for channel b the output is on speakon jack B 1+ and 1-. Even though they are 4 pole connectors, the 2 pole connectors will mate to them and connect to 1+ and 1-, 2+ and 2- get ignored. So yes you are good, you can run single pair speakon cable out of the amp into a speaker that will read the 2 poles.
