Members Tomm Williams
Was looking at the web site and found one design where BF shows the use of a top cover of sorts over the top of 2 subs, on their sides, touching at one end. At the opposite end,the subs were seperated by a couple of feet. It was sort of like an X-Y mic position. Concept was that this cover plate (or whatever it's called) increased the bass response of both cabinets. Anybody familiar with this? would it work on any side-placed sub? Does it really do anything? Members dboomer
Nothing new. You can use a wall, the floor or a corner in the room to do basically the same thing.
Members preacherman672
It works as a horn flare extension and increases the mouth area of the horn. The downside is a larger footprint for the subs which is sometimes quite difficult to achieve indoors.
