Members PandaPandaPanda
Which would you choose: Brand new DBX 231 @ $150 Each: http://www.guitarcenter.com/dbx-231-Dual-31-Band-Graphic-EQ-101914125-i1125291.gc Or Used Yamaha Q2031B @ 150 Each: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Yamaha-Q2031B-DUAL-CHANNEL-GRAPHIC-EQUALIZER-180709-i1125086.gc I can get either TODAY, one from GC, one from a guy on CL. Members PandaPandaPanda
By the way, the Yamahas are in good shape.
Members jwlussow
I like the dbx myself.
Members PandaPandaPanda
Any specific reason as to why? The Yamaha's are like 600 new, which I find crazy! Are they basically the same unit with different names so I might as well get the new one with a warranty?
Members jwlussow
I use other dbx gear and have been very happy with every piece. I guess I would be more comfortable with a new dbx then a used Yamy. I would be concerned about possible failures.

Members NUSound
I don't think anybody around here has any qualms with the dbx. New + Warranty is definitely the way to go IMO.
Members agedhorse
I have both, and they are both good pieces. The Yamaha's that I have are 20 years old and have had no problems at all doing thousands of shows. Just did a full cleanup and rebuild at 20 years and I'll use them for another 20 At $150, I would probably choose the DBX if for no other reason than the warranty. Members Shaster
hmmm... It's just coincidence, isn't it? I like the Yammies, but warranty is probably king.
