AUX insert to Direct OUT question

it's been a few years since i have posted here but im running into some issues and would love your advice.

At church we have a 16 ch Allen & Heath mixer with only 2 outputs for the speakers but no direct outputs from each channel.

We are getting the Behringer personal mixer system and we need the Convertor as well that converts the analog signal to digital to be able to use the personal mixers.

Since we don't have 16 direct outputs, I have read that you can convert the AUX insert channels into Direct OUTs by doing the "1-click" method or using a special adapter like the Hosa DOC-106 http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DOC106

----

Could we do the same thing by using a monto to stereo adapter  such as these http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103725

or even to not have to use any adpaters, could we just use a TS to TRS cable such as these?

-----

logically it makes sense to me that all 3 options would do the same function but I can't find it anywhere about ppl using the last 2 options...only the "1-click" or the Hosa adapter..thanks!

I know that hosa would work for sure since it is made to convert Aux inserts into direct outs...I just assumed the stereo to mono adapter would do the same or even the TS to TRS cable but I agree that without the full wiring specs is hard to tell. I just want to know what others have done to convertbthr aux to outs

The Hosa "direct out" adapter cable should work fine. I've used them to tap channels for recording on the inserts of a smaller Soundcraft mixer, and it will work the same for a monitor feed.

Just make sure the insert jacks are clean, so you don't get an intermittent connection that could interrupt the main mixer signal. And don't let anyone touch the plugs during the show.
