Members imnotded
I have been fighting feedback at my church for a while now and am out of ideas on a "cheap" fix. My pastor uses an Audio Technica BP893c headset mic. I cant get any significant volume out of it without getting feedback. I have tried using different transmitters and recievers (and frequencies) just in case that was the issue and it didnt help at all. I will get feedback at about 2k, so I will notch that and it just appears somewhere else. I am going to assume that we probably need to get a mic that is closer to his mouth, but I hate to buy another mic. Is this my only good option or would a feedback supressor work too? Members agedhorse
I use the 892 all the time and its a very, very good mic. The shorter boom of the 893 can be a problem, especially with monitors. Also, this type of mic works best with better quality, well tuned systems. Members imnotded
No monitors for that mic since its just for speaking. But I can be all the way in the back of the room and still get the same feedback. It also appears to have just happened one day.

Members witesol
yea, speakers all over! I just did such a gig in Indiana last week. Sennheiser Lav WL systems. You can sometimes find an EQ cut that allows enough voice intelligability to get by. sometimes you have to mix with a lightning touch on a fader as someone walks around.
