Members Just Mike
Found these sitting on a sidewalk outside of a GC. The woofers are shredded but I got them home and they still work. So I opened one up in the hope that I could drop a 15 I have lying around in it.WELL, the woofer is part of the baffle, it'a an all aluminum molded assembly. So I look online and find that there are recone kits out there but they're $100 each. I look at the specs on these and the woofers are 2 ohms, the LF amp is 130 watts. I don't want to put $100 each into these old things, but they've got to be good for something. Or not. I remember reading about these way back and the reviews as I recall were pretty horrible, but I also remember seeing them everywhere. Is there anything salvageable in these? Members Pro Sound Guy
If you do not want to put anything into them then put them outside the GC and someone else will do the same thing you did.
Members OneEng
I have always thought they made a fine foot stool for frat parties . Even if you managed to get them repaired, they were one of worst speakers I have ever heard.
Members wesg
How shredded are the speakers? Paper towel, wood glue, black paint time?
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted August 24, 2018 CMS Author Share Posted August 24, 2018 If you leave them in your car with the windows open, in a bad neighborhood, someone might leave you another pair. You found 'em where they belong. You don't want this free puppy.
Members agedhorse
They are not all that easy to recone for an experienced reconer either.
