Shipping mixer in road case?

When I set up my SL24.4.2 for shipping it was in an ATA case as well. I bought a 1" mattress foam and the case in that. The. I built a cardboard box around it. Taped the hell out of it. It wasn't real pretty but gave it some protection.

I would do the same.

ATA cases are tough but, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I suggest to zip-tie the butterfly latches shut. Simply loop nylon zip-ties through one of the holes in each butterfly and through the adjacent spring loop and cinch-up the zip-tie. Boxing the case helps to diminish damage to especially the latches and handles. If you box the case, I suggest strapping the box so the handlers have "handles" to maneuver the box.
