Members pogo97
Reading the threads on KAOS pad and keyboard 101 got me thinking about uses for the mod wheel and xy. They're really no different from any other knob (assuming they're unsprung) but since they're prominent, they lend themselves to important modulations. Mod Wheel--I use mine for:-unison width in Pianoteq-percussion volume in B4-I'm still fishing in any other VST, usually just the preset Ditto a KAOS or other xy pad:-cutoff & Q factor in Pianoteq (both effect sustain)-rotor high & low speeds in B4 (I use my sustain pedal to switch between speeds)-if I were to bother, I'd probably map the xy to filter pitch and resonance for most synths but I don't really know
Members Gunslinger69
I made a couple of mixes on the Fusion this weekend that are set up to play one patch if the mod wheel is "up", and another of the mod wheel is "down" - that way I don't have to split the keyboard. Useful in performance. Credit goes to one of Deweak's Youtube videos for the idea.
Members Allerian
Modwheel gets used for cutoff and decay a lot here. The xy on my Voyager is used for rhythmic tapping of filter cutoff/spacing.
