Members alex4fun
Hi all, Via Matrixsynth I found this free VSTi. It sounds really vintage, so you could give it a try if you want: http://www.scoreforsale.com/html/sq8l.html

Members cosmic.synth
I have an Ensoniq SQ-80 and this VSTi is an excellent, almost identical recreation...you can even use it to edit the hardware SQ-80 and other ESQ-1 and ESQm synths. Out of all the VSTs I own that try to duplicate the older classics, this one is the closest I've heard...perhaps partly because of the digital sampled waveforms which are easier to model than an analog waveform in analog synths. But I think the filters, envelopes and LFOs are faithful recreated as well...don't know how it was done but it sounds like the original. The original SQ-80 is one of my favorite sounding analogs be it hybrid or full analog. And the patch "ChoirX" for all the ESQ and SQ-80 synths is an amazing patch.
