Aaahhh... the M1... such a classic synth. I was just reading an article on the latest keyboard magazine about Bruce Hornsby using a particular patch on it. - Overture. But the famous samples on that board are numerous

I bought all my M1s, D-50s and DX7s for between $150 and $250 - always...

I don't think you should pay more for any of what I call "the three digital synths of the '80s", (also because these days we have the Korg Legacy collection, the D-50 card for the V-Synth, and NI FM7 / FM8 )

BY THE WAY... (pet peeve alert): there is no hyphen in M1

there is in D-50

there is not in DX7

:p

M1 was, of course, a pioneer as a workstation, etc. At it's time, it was cutting edge, there had never really been anything like it, at least at the consumer level.

That said, it's just a plain ol' Rompler/Workstation now days. And, like all Korg Romplers up to the Trinity, it has no resonant filter.

I have no use for one, so I wouldn't pay more than a 100 bux. IMO, they are worth 150-200, maybe 300 for an exceptional one with a hard case.
