Drum machine quandry...

Hi folks,

 

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place to ask this but I'll give it a shot anyway.

I am looking for a drum machine to use live with my looper (Looperlative).

I started off thinking I'd only use it as a master MIDI clock but then I thought

it'd be really cool if I could do this:

 

- Have the drum machine be the master to my looper.

- Monitor the click from the drum machine in headphones only.

- Enter kick & snare patterns on the fly using drum triggers.

- Have these kicks & snares quantized.

- Be able to mute/unmute the drum machine via footswitch.

 

Did I explain this well?

Is it even possible?

Am I asking too much?

Am I dreaming?
