Members Music Bird
I’m looking at the SR-16, D-05, and a MIDI controller with aftertouch for producing music with an 80’s influence. The arranger keyboard will be used for the D-05. Looking to use the presets on the D-05 for 80’s influenced stuff. Also using the arranger on its own with the same sounds as the following songs. Members Music Bird
Can anyone help me look for synths that sound like the recordings or close? Looking at Yamaha, Technics, Korg, Roland and Casio and other 90’s ones.
Members Mikeo
I'm not a keyboard player as such, but the Yamaha, DX7 and the Roland Juno synthesizers were king back in the day. I have a Alesis SR 26, and it's pretty 1980's. You do have to tap in the beats, or use the pre-canned loops. A Roland TR 909 or 707 might work too. Roland TR-8S is the new drum machine. That might work too.I'm not sure if I helped you or not, but you definitely deserved a replay back.

Members kbeaumont
The Roland D50 and the DX7 practically defined the 80's pop scene. Luckily the D-05 module is cheap and faithfully recreates every sound on the D50. [video=youtube;Q5_mJovoQ0k]
