I have a K2500 and have had an issue with not being able to see the display properly.It's just bright and I can't read anything on it.At first I tried changing the contrast setting and it helped a bit but still pretty washed out looking.Then not even the contrast helped and it's just a panel of light. I was able to see something when I plugged a jack into one of the sustain pedal inputs but still faint and fading,without the jack in there it's just light.
