Members Soloact Posted July 5, 2014 Members Share Posted July 5, 2014 How to setup for a solo artist on stage show.I want to use:1. midi backing tracks, I have several I have edited to my liking so far.2. Teleprompter with lyrics and chords, I do over 100 songs and use a book now!3. Diffrent light show and video for each song, pre set. To be all in sink on lap top or Ipad and all work with just one click for eack song.I do over 100 songs.I use a :Digitech vocalist live pro for harmonizing vocals in has a MIDI in and out with foot controlsI play guitar and sing. I'm trying to set up for an on stage show.I sing on stage now with just my guitar, amp, mic. but want to add to my Act. I'm looking for a software program and or hardware that will do all this for me.Anyone know of such a program and set up?Any help will be very much appreciated. Members WRGKMC Posted July 7, 2014 Members Share Posted July 7, 2014 I believe some DAW programs allow a Lyrics view. That would solve your issue running midi backing and lyrics at the same time. Personally I'd bounce the midi down to a stereo audio track and play it back like any other stereo backing track. Then you could see if there are any Tablets that can play back the music while you post the lyrics. The benefit of using a tablet is it can be put on a stand for viewing. You can build the lyrics into a word file which just scrolls through the pages and you could then just fill the desktop with shortcuts to the songs you want to play.
