Hi,

I ordered the wrong size Switchcraft input jack for the back of my cab, so I used another Switchcraft STEREO jack i found lying around which fit the jack plate perfectly. I soldered the TIP terminal of this jack to the + speaker terminal, and the SLEEVE terminal to the speaker - terminal. I know that when the speaker cable MONO plug is inseted into this jack the sleeve and ring will be jumpered and the sleeve signal will also be present at the ring terminal of the jack, which is not connected to anything in this scenario. I can't see anything worng with that. Please tell me if my logic was correct here.

thanx!

You did it right, there's nothing wrong with your connection. I've done the same more times then you can count. Other then the jack requiring a little more space and costing a bit more it works fine and the jack even holds the cord in better.

You could put a jumper between the sleeve and ring if you wanted but its really not necessary.
