Members LPJunior
so I'm building a homemade fuzz http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/muffsc.gif and it has a hum and makes a terrible squealy-ish noise when I turn it on and off, think it has something to do with the switch and the ground wire? what can I do to fix this??? Members wartoxin
I usually ignore noise that comes on power off/on, unless you mean on bypass, but I think not.To help we would need more information, is it enclosed in a metal box? Moderators AMZ-FX Posted March 20, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 20, 2010 You might try adding a 1M resistor from the switch lug that is immediately to the left of the C2 mark on the schematic to ground. That will hopefully keep the input from floating and causing random oscillations. regards, Jack
