Phil O'Keefe
Not bad, but IMHO if you're going to mention under-snare miking, and combining it with a top of snare mic, then IMHO you should at least give passing mention to checking the phase... Phil O'Keefe
Let's broaden this out a bit.... how does everyone typically mic their snare drums? Do you use a top mic by itself? Do you use a bottom head mic by itself? Or maybe you combine those two techniques, or capture your snare strictly via the overheads or...? Tell us how you typically approach recording snare drums.
