Members Alndln2
A friend of mine who I sometimes work with asked me to reccomend him a good mic for recording male vocals on location(houses/Apts./Outdoors etc.). His budget is up to $1000.00 and he needs something that doesn't pick up too much room noise and is versatile with a variety of male voices and be somewhat rugged. Since I don't really have any on location recording experience I'm really not the best person to advise him. At the moment he's using a Rode NT1a which works well for his needs, but sometimes sounds a little low quality on some singers. I was thinking he should just step up to the Rode NT2a or Blue Bluebird/Baby bottle but I'm really not sure what's out there that meets his particular needs. What would you buy in the $1000.00 range for those requirements?
