Is it just me? Whenever I reply to a post these days, it takes nearly a minute between the time I click the "Post Reply" button and when the web browser turns off the "working" indicator and the post is in place. Same when I post a new message, though it saves promptly when I edit a previously entered message and save it.

Naw, same here..sometimes I want to post and move on ..but I get a ‘working’ sign here on HC after my post.

So I abandon my original post and move on to another site.

My posts are mainly drivel anyway..no loss to you guys and the the Music World in general.

I think that what's happening is that the message posts promptly, but what's slow to come up is the page with your message added to it. Sometimes refreshing the page in the browser gives it a kick in the butt, sometimes it doesn't - but at least it helps you to believe that you're doing something to make it load.

We use the same technique in the studio when the producer wants more of something and we can't understand what he really wants. Reach for a knob, turn it, and then the producer says "OK, that's great!" and you move on, having done nothing constructive.
