Members halfnote
Sometimes we're reminded that the voice is what really pulls us in. Bonnie Raitt's not just one of pop music's best guitarists but one of the best vox. We all know that but chk this track out & see if you can resist her mujicianly magic ! How can she be so blatantly powerful yet subtle at the same time ?! COME TO ME / orig version (BTW, she wrote this tune. too) Live version ----------------------------- Ok...Question 1: On the orig version who played that slashing rhythm gtr part ? Anybody know ? Possibilities (drawn from credit list): Bonnie Raitt, Turner Stephen, Bruton, Robben Ford, Martin Goldenberg, John Hiatt, Randy Jacobs, Richard Thompson, Johnny Lee Schell, Billy Vera.... Question 2: Where've we heard that part before ? I know I've heard that 2 chord lick on some other hit track but can't place it ---where ? It's drivin' me nuts. ----------------------------------------- Bonus Question: What's the code here for directly embedding YTube or Vimeo clips ? Members nat whilk II
The I-IV upward two-chord hit (not the reggae-ish accents) sound like something Keef would play....that's all I can come up with... nat
