And, not only that, the erstwhile owners of the apparently thoroughly bogus copyright, Warner/Chappell Music, very much appear to have hidden and apparently even doctored evidentiary documents to help keep their claim to the much-sung song alive.

Nothing spoils a kid's birthday party quicker than a bounty hunter for BMI or ASCAP leaning on the single-mom host for licensing fees!
