Members davd_indigo
It's playing right now on getTv, a digital over the air channel. The movie has some singer named Johnny Desmond and a young Joel Grey. Also a young calypso singer named Maya Angelou. The Hi-Los too - one of those close harmony quartets from the '50's. It also protrays the recording studios of the day, but with "direct to acetate or lacquer master discs" (from the IMDB description). I figure they may replay this so someone might want to set their dvr. This movie is delicious 1957 fun. And now a really cool calypso band called the Treniers. This is unknown genre territory to me. The calypso thing I mean. I'm now wondering how big a stream it became and for how long. I remember the limbo thing going around in popular culture. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050222/ David
