Members Tedster
You mean "Let It Be...Naked"? Yeah. It's an interesting mix. Gone are the choirs and strings, which, really, if I recall correctly, were really only on "The Long And Winding Road" and "Let It Be". But, also gone is that banter between songs that made the first version so nifty.
Members myshkin
Is there a noticeable improvement in raw sound quality?
Members Tedster
That's difficult for me to say without listening to them both side by side...and I haven't had the old "Let It Be" since I had it on vinyl...probably lost track of what happened to my original copy 20 years ago or more. I believe there to be quite a difference...but, would have to step back and properly assess it.
Members Hard Truth
I have heard that George Martin took a stab at creating an album from those sessions. I wish they had issued that version instead of a new mix.
