I'm actually interested, not b/c I have any affiliation or loyalty to product (I've owned products from both, but big deal)

 

I *AM* interested from the standpoint of how the IP shakes out

 

who's (if anyone) going to get a target painted on their back now, was there no petition for reexam, etc

Engadget reminded that Apple had two potential problems with CREAF.

Apple had a very weak claim to the name "Nano" because CREAF had a prior use.

 

 

"This settlement resolves all of our differences with Creative, including the five lawsuits currently pending between the companies, and removes the uncertainty and distraction of prolonged litigation."

 

 

Apple Press release Apple also said that they will participate in revenues from CREAF licensing of the interface.
