The food section of the Washington Post (like many other newspapers) is on Wednesday, so Safeway and Harris-Teeter always have a foldout ad for the week's specials on Wednesday. Giant and Shoppers have their ad in Sunday's paper, but Giant's is in the main body of the paper and Shoppers' is in the insert section which is available on Saturday. So a few weeks ago, Shoppers announced that their specials (in the Sunday newspaper ad) would start on Saturday, getting a jump on the other stores. Now Giant has announced that their specials will start on Friday. I wonder who will be next to try to get our money first. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
