Please have a look at the following website. What is not as good as it should be? http://www.premiumtours.ch/site/ Please tell me some details you find weak and incorrect. The opening film is circa 6 minutes long. I find the terminology and grammatic is not correct, i.e. "Price per person in ****-hotel" etc.. Members blue2blue Posted December 6, 2006 Members Share Posted December 6, 2006 IN no special order: "travel-agents" does not need a hyphen ("-") I like the little video... it reminds me of the ten idyllic days I spent on the shores of the lakes at Interlaken... I DO NOT like the fact that music/audio automatically plays. Give me a button so I can turn it on -- IF I want. And if they can't bring themselves to do that at least give me an OFF button. I HATE auto-play sounds -- they REALLY tick me off (I'm trying to listen to my OWN music, thank you!) Pricing should show the monetary unit, if it's Euros, it should be marked as such, seems to me. Americans are so dollar-centric they will probalby think it's Ameri-bucks. Not really crazy about the "3D lettering" -- very "My First Website" seems to me. "Make the first few choices already" sounds like WWII era Brookly slang... perhaps it should be something like "Begin planning your trip now..." (Giving people something they can do right now is seen as a good way to get people to commit to interacting with your website and starting the process/relationship.) "the detailed description of the tour" would probably be better as "detailed description of the tour"... "4* hotel" would probably be better as "4-star hotel" The links to hotels didn't seem to work. (I think I stayed one night in the Metropole and wanted to see.) I guess the other links don't work yet, either. Good start... just needs a little fine tuning. But it REALLY makes me nostalgic... I'd LOVE to go back for a little vacation... though I'm not a snow guy, so I think I'd wait 'til next year... I went swimming in the lake in October, though, so I can take a little cold... Maybe the site is not as bad as I thought in the first moment. But the graphic concept has no attraction, also the distribution of the graphics and the color concept is not attractive. Another thing, I didn't figure that the trip you buy is a four day travel arrangement including a railway ticket from place to place. I didn't want to beat up on the site too much -- but I thought I really should say something about the 3D gold lettering. But a bit of sharpening up of graphic concept for the whole page would be good. The things I think work are the simplicity and the inherent charm of the Swiss landscape in the vid. I'll admit... I'm a fool for an alpine meadow on a sunny day. OTOH, the colors and layout make it look a little like the utilitarian websites of "mom and pop" computer shops you stumble across looking for cheap computer parts on the web. Sometimes it's a fine line between "stylish, elegant simplicity" and "drab utilitarianism." I think they come up with a new, tasteful, harmonious color scheme... There are some tools that attempt to generate harmonious color schemes: http://www.siteprocentral.com/html_color_code.html http://wellstyled.com/tools/colorscheme2/index-en.html But I think individual users will have to decide if they're helpful... Still they can be a "jumping off" place. But -- on the video -- for heaven's sake MAKE THEM put on a audio/mute button. (I'll settle for a mute button.) A pause button might please folks, too.
